Environmental TV show "Operation Earth" has started!
Next to such Finnish celebrities as the Dudesons' Jukka and Jarppi,
Erja Häkkinen and Martti Syrjä, Jyrki69 and Jussi69 will be featured in
six weekly episodes on Nelonen - Finnish TV Channel 4,
from November to December 2008.
The Eyes are Pirates of the Baltic Sea - and you can watch

This is the first promotion of 'Goth'N'Roll' in this region, guess where

Following a huge success of  "Ipana 1", an album for children released in Finland
last Autumn and packed with songs from famous Finnish musicians,
an album sequel will be released on 29th October 2008.
"Ipana 2" features Jyrki69 with the song "Lennä lennä lepakko"
inspired by a bat that lived under the eaves of Jussi69's home.
This piece is a first in Finnish for Jyrki69, and provides for some
chilly, gloomy atmosphere reminiscent of that in Tim Burton's cartoon
"Vincent", while at the same time combining it with witty and charming
lyrics that could only be made under the pen of our Jyrki!

Album will be published under EMI Finland, and will also feature
Emma winner Jenni Vartiainen, Idol winner Hanna Pakarinen,
Mikki Kauste from Egotrippi and Anna Järvinen. The list of songs goes as follows:

The 69 Eyes are confirmed for this year's Helldone festival in Finland!
Next to the standard performance by HIM, the Eyes will be sharing the stage with
Negative, Stam1na, Sara, 45 Degree Woman, Diablo etc.

will also be spinning records on New Year's Eve in Semifinal.

† Pirates Of The Baltic Sea is organizing a competition on its pages
by 31st January 2009, in which, if one fills out the form located on
www.piratesofthebalticsea.fi (Liity Meihin “island”), the winner gets
tickets for him/her and two friends for The 69 Eyes concerts in 2009 (not
including festivals, 69 – 96 €), including the possibility of meeting
Jussi69 and Jyrki69 in the backstage (priceless value).

WHAT ARE THE PIRATES OF THE BALTIC SEA ALL ABOUT?

From the state of the Baltic Sea it is visible that it has been quite sufficiently polluted.
By establishing Pirates Of The Baltic Sea, Jussi69 and Jyrki69 provide an opportunity
to fight for the Baltic Sea regardless of age, gender or wealth.

The collected amount will go to the wetland project of WWF. When you give,
you help the pine swamps to serve as nature's own filters which reduces eutrophication
(process where enhanced plant growth under the influence of excess nutrients results
in reduced oxygen in water and can cause other organisms to die).

MICHAEL MONROE JOINED THE PIRATES

MIKE MONROE was among the first ones connected to the pirates, and he composed
and wrote the lyrics for Pirates Of The Baltic Sea single and music video

TV SERIES

The idea of an establishment of pirates was created to bring Operation
in connection with the work of the country TV series company, Nordisk Film.
The Operation Earth is beginning from 11.11.2008 on Nelonen, which features a program
in which three celebrity pairs struggle against the climate change.

On the International Talk Like A Pirate Day yesterday,

it was finally revealed what kind of pirate action Michael Monroe
and Jussi69 are calling us to join on The 69 Eyes mobile blog! Read further! *Arrr*



The Baltic Sea is the most polluted sea in the world. Worldwide climate change

affects us all. "Operaatio Maa" (Operation Earth), a new series starting in November

on Finnish TV channel 4, features three separate teams with different

environmental causes. Rock stars Jyrki 69 and Jussi 69 from THE 69 EYES

form one of the teams, that will man the barricades for saving the Baltic Sea:

they have formed an anarchistic environmental movement called

Pirates Of The Baltic Sea and invite everyone aboard the ship

that sails under the green Jolly Roger (trademark pirate flag

with skull and crossbones).

HANOI ROCKS frontman Michael Monroe joined the Pirates

 and created a powerful, anthemic call to arms that aims to wake people

up from their apathy and to take action: every single living soul CAN

take part in saving the Baltic Sea. Michael Monroe has always been

an actively aware person, even back in the day: in the '80s he participated

in the Sun City project, which was Bruce Springsteen's and Little Steven's

worldwide musical protest against apartheid. Besides singing the song

along with a bunch of other international rock stars, Michael Monroe

can be seen in the legendary Sun City music video.

With the song "Pirates Of The Baltic Sea", Michael Monroe appears

at his most aggressive, and punky for quite some while. The international band

of misfits that recorded the song with Michael is a true rock'n'roll crew

of the highest order: Jussi 69 behind the drums, underground legend Adam Bomb

on the guitar, WARRIOR SOUL's Kory Clarke singing backup, and

BACKYARD BABIES' Dregen on the guitar as well. A music video

for "Pirates Of The Baltic Sea" - directed by Tuukka Temonen - was shot

a short while ago on the Baltic Sea aboard the marine research vessel Aranda.

The release party for the "Pirates Of The Baltic Sea" single and video was held

at the Tavastia Club in Helsinki on Friday, September 19 starting at 1:30 p.m.

Like Jyrki revealed to HelsinkiVampyyrit and our croatian colleague in July,

the “Goth’n’Roll” box set arrives for Halloween 2008!

It will be released in Finland for this holiday and will contain three CDs and a DVD.

As it says on the official website:
 

‘"Goth'N'Roll" documents The 69 Eyes' period from 1998 to 2003

when the band broke into the mainstream success in Finland

and spread their Helsinki vampire bat wings over Europe.

"Blessed Be" and "Paris Kills" are considered the band's classic gothic rock albums

by both fans and critics alike. Both albums are here re-mastered with bonus tracks.

The DVD is the same period's "Helsinki Vampires" also re-mastered incl. live show at Tavastia,

Helsinki from 2002, all the videos, extras and also a never-before-released documentary
"Bat Habit" from the same period.

The third CD is "Goth'N'Roll Archives" which includes demos

and never before released material from 1998 to 2003.

The beautiful python skin pvc wrapped box set is designed by Natas

and the liner notes in the illustrated 28-page booklet are written by

Natasha Scharf/Metal Hammer & TotalRock.

The box set comes out on Gaga Goodies/Poko Rekords/EMI Finland.’

Nothing else to do but to await it with awe... and our breaths held!
But this is not the end of news!

ESP Guitar company, after a guitar piece for Timo Timo,

has now designed a dream goth'n'roll guitar exclusively for Bazie!

He will be offering his master solos on the first The 69 Eyes tour in Spring 2009

on a Phoenix II model with the characteristic 69 ankh symbol on the neck of the guitar.

ESP guitars are in the hands of such master shredders as Vince Neil (Mötley Crüe),

Ron Wood (The Rolling Stones), Chuck Garric (Alice Cooper), Shagrath (Dimmu Borgir),

Michael Paget (Bullet For My Valentine), Alexi Laiho (Children Of Bodom),

Michael Amott (Arch Enemy) and many other rock virtuosi.

however you can catch The Eyes closest to us in Hungary!

So put your black bikinis and Ray-Bans on, cause it's gonna be
a real blood&hot festival tour this summer!

When it comes to new material we announced before,
they're working on it hard & the next 69 Eyes album
is currently planned to come out in the early 2009!

Feel the northern comfort of this excellent 70’s style jam rock band from Sweden!

Hellsingland Underground is a band formed by Charlie Granberg in 2006,

who is a renowned swedish illustrator and video director,

and it’s influenced by such artists as the Allman Brothers, Thin Lizzy, Neil Young…

Drawing unfailing inspiration from his hometown Ljusdal, its people, countryside

and everything else that marks it unique, Charlie and his bandmates Mats,
Martin, Patrik, Mathias and Peter (most of them involved in other bands
and projects in Sweden, such as Maryslim, Sideburn etc.),

give a specific spirit to their sound, while taking you on a trip

through memories and places seemingly long forgotten.

Both nostalgic and vivacious tunes with a touch of wickedness,

harvested from a legend of Satan coming to Hällsingland

(from it comes the name of the band as well) and alluring young people

with his violine into dancing to their death.

In a way, this album release party will be the first “seduction” of young bosnian people

by Hellsingland Underground, and a first step to bringing them to Bosnia!

Exclusive listening of their debut album and a couple of surprises

await you on the party, so be sure to come,
